Scale 3ds accurately


My first question was answered straight off the bat, so here is another if you don’t mind. When I import 3DS into Blender and measure an edge, I get the same figure no matter how I scale the mesh. This makes it really tricky to fit different components over each other at their correct scale. Is there a method of measuring items in Blender that reflects their current dimension and not their original drawn one. I suppose I could just scale things identically with the n key, but call me a stickler for accuracy.

1.shift select all the meshes you want scaled
2. find one that you already scaled and like., then shift select this one last
3. CNTRL+C --> Scale
4. You’re done. All the objects should be scaled just like the one you liked.
