I’ve looked around a bit for info on how to scale along two axis, I can’t seem to find anything. I’m sure there’s a way I’m just missing it. For example: A pipe, I want to increase the diameter (x,y) with out increasing the length (z). Fairly common process. Which set of keys to enable this?
Scale (s) then press SHIFT + the axis you want to “lock”.
So if you want to scale x,y without scaling z, press S then SHIFT + Z.

another way would be to set the values by using the N-Key Tranform panel

Yet another way: If you’re using the little coloful manpulator handles, you can shift-click one of them to manipulate the other two. Shift-drag Z to scale on X-Y, and such.
I actually figured this out while working on a pipe myself ^_^. (Mainly working on making deco meshes for a sewer level in ut2004, here.)
Another one , for pipe shapes Alt-S is good.
Thank’s, just what I was looking for.
