Scale bones won't work!

I have relatively simple character rig. Few days ago I decided to partially remodel my character, so I added new geometry (which messed my shape keys, but that was resolved with Fligh’s help - Thanks again)

Now, i have decided to add some features to my rig (Thanks Bassam, Calvin - lot of thank yous in this post) and I have faced strange problem:

  1. I can move and rotate bones in pose mode
  2. I can’t scale bones in pose mode
  3. I have decided to experiment and added new armature to my scene (apart from my character rig) - same problem!
  4. My thinking: If I have messed my character settings somehow, this problem should exist in character armature, but not in other new made armatures… but it does!
  5. HELP!

Try selecting a bone (in pose mode) and press n. Open the locks on ScaleX/Y/Z if they’re closed.

Other than that, I’m not sure what to suggest, unless you have a copy scale modifier on the bones.

Thanx Alex_G, i have already tried that, it did’t work… hovewer, I just came with the new idea:

I have even imported model from other .blend file (with the same results, scale didn’t work in poses in that model either)

So I tried the other way: I created new empty file and I imported the mesh and armature to it… scaling of the bones now works in pose mode…
PROBLEM SOLVED! However, I really do hate when something inexplainable happens grmmmmblll…

Select bone in pose mode/ Properties/ Bone/ Relations (check if Inherit Scale is selected)
