background no problem the problem is the texture image (scale marking image) which is repeating itself on entire model…
how i dont know…and i tried to apply your texture setting which i done know why its not working or i am missing something…i dont know whats happening…

that has to do with the UV mapping if you use UV?
if ordinary mapping then it’s in panel F6 change some of the parameters
to have only one!
if not then erase the UV and redo it !

look at pic it looks like youv unwrap it the wrong way
you have to redo your UV unwrap and seleft only the faces you need to unwrap
then the adjust the scale and location in UV editor i think
