Scaling a mesh with Hair? Any solutions for that?

Hello,
I have learned know to model a character directly in the right measurements. Scaling a mesh with hair is messing it all up. I tried to looked up a solution but the hair length is greyed out because i edited the hair. (the driver solution wont work)
Disconnection and connection after scale does not work.

Am i right that i have now two sadly options?

  1. Using the scales i have and translate them to the environment?
  2. Doing the hair again. This cant be true?

I would do a jump for you if you can tell me a solution for that.

I actually managed to fix it without any drivers or… For everyone having the same problem:

  1. Scale down the mesh with the hair (hair will look messy)
  2. Disconnect every hair system from the mesh to apply the scale on the mesh.
-reconnect (the hair will be too thick but adjust laster in the hair settings)
  3. Play again with the settings of the hair system ( In hair Shape: Radius Root and tip and clumping when you need.)

In conclusion the scale of the hair is a problem because its not connected to other settings in the hair simulation that has to be adjusted. This is still not optimal when you for example wants to shrink a character and you have to adjust the hair settings to fit again…
