Scaling NLA tracks no longer changes the playback speed

Before, I could scale the tracks in the NLA editor to re-time my animations. I did this a lot to play with timing and to swtich things up in my animations.

This has now changed and scaling only makes the clip longer or shorter, not affecting the animation.

Is there any option somewhere to switch back so that scaling the tracks re-times the keys inside again?
I know I can set the playback speed manually but I really enjoyed scaling to retime and I miss it a lot.

Hey Dundertundra, welcome to the forums!

Not sure if this highlighted option is what you’re looking for, but it is grouped with other Scale options:

The tooltip for Sync Action Length says “Synchronize the length of the referenced Action with the length used in the strip.”

Thank you for your response Cire!

I tried what you suggested, this option seems to “reset” the clip to it’s original lenght if i have cut or scaled the clip. It’s sadly not what i’m looking for but I appreciate your time!

I’ll go back to an older version of blender until i figure this out I think.

Ah, too bad.

Glad you have the fallback option, though. :+1:

Mini-necro, but this was broken in 3.3.1 and fixed in 3.4:
