Finished up a personal project while trying to optimize the scene a bit in regards of textures without lacking too much quality.
Sky texture with a hint of yellowish light to reflect a very sunny day (normally very bright, clear white light is used in archvis). A few area lights as well.
Rendered in Cycles, 2000 adaptive samples and denoiser. Post Ps.
Great work. Very natural. Can you share the material you used for the curtains and lamp? I made over 20 curtains last year and they all looked like trash.
Of course. See image below for the curtain material. The “OpacityFab” is a mask with “tiny holes” in it and the normal map is actually from a creased couch. But these aren’t necessary for a decent looking curtain material. Try the mix between P-BSDF where the base color is runned as shown (fresnel nodes) and a Translucent BSDF and that will do the trick quite nicely.
The lamp material is PBR textures with the roughness texture connected to the transmission as well.
