We’ve a project at school for maths, physics and informatics. Me and my friend tought it would be cool to do something with blender and C++ or python.
The subject has to be related to physics or maths. Now our problem is that we can’t think of a proper subject. The subject has to come in the form of a question, like “Why are bananas bended ?”. After 3 hours of searching on the net for a nice subject or inspiration we decided to post here and hope that you could help us out.
You could make a solar system simulation or something like that …
Or a banana-bending-simulator?
(to be honest, I don’t quite understand the question, but hey… perhaps it’s an helpful idea)
Or you could ask
“Why are physics necessary?” Then show what a world w/o basic (ragdoll) physics would be like (no collisions) vs. a world with physics (ie…via game engine).
Hope it helps your brainstorming. Good luck.
You could do a project showing what running & jumping on the moon is like versus running & jumping on Earth. Obviously people would jump higher on the moon and stay up in the air longer. The question could be something like “What would it be like to run on the moon?”
Thank you all.
These ideas sound very good.
It HAS to be physics and/or maths related because these subject are my majors.
I have one more question: Is it even possible to use C++ in Blender without screwing with the source code?Like an external program or whatever?
thanks again
Anyone have any idea?
Not sure what level of school. You could, using the physics engine, demonstrate how the orbit of a planet is a result of mass deforming spacetime. Have a plane deformed with a planet in the center. Have balls of different mass passing by. See which mass is captured by the geometry of the plane.
