School :(

Anyway, back in my day, our schools were far more strict on discipline than most modern schools. We wore uniforms,
Uniforms are still used here at USA. And kids/teens get suspended for not wearing it.
I’m sure school back then was much worst than now, but it’s still not a very good thing.
And they have 626F6C61735350 to interact with kids’ (and teens) “non-school” life.
edit:

\What do you mean by the end of August? 31th?

What is 626F6C61735350 ?
Imo uniforms is not a bad thing for school. It sorts out a lot of practical issues.

To my having a uniform is really Lame…I hate Fitting in…im that kid that normal people stay away from cuz you know you might catch the Psychotic’s germs…=P but o well

But yeah…since this is about school…does anyone know how long it takes to finish collage for making games? im in 8th grade and im so excited to make “Pro” games

A half year ago I interrupted an economic university after 14 days of school and I became a working person  I do a Flash Animator/Designer now…

Hey all I can say is well done! Even up to 2 years ago I was preaching to young folks who left school early for no apparent reason other than they had some quite against it, but I have talked and heard of some early school leavers who have succeeded despite this stigma. But then again there is two sides to the coin - of the majority of folks who left early and got into trouble. And those who went to on to complete college through to university and still have to achieve something in life. Well whatever it takes. The decision is yours.

Be sure to know the difference between playing games and making they.

Just like people who want to make computer sciences should know that liking computers and not a reason to make computer sciences.

I have been in school all summer. I’m home-schooled and I finished 8th in 4.5 months and I’m half-way through 9th in 2 months. I hate school, especially algebra. Hey, being in school in sumer sure beats being out in the scorching heat. And I’ll probably get a degree in Bible Studies from the ministry since it is right here and I already know all the stuff.

Well, they should learn how to behave. Anyways either if it solves issues or not people should have freedom.

Classes start on the 25th. This is my junior year at Syracuse U. I’m excited! Lots of nerd-tastic classes this semester!

How old are you?

So, what is 626F6C61735350 ?

I couldn’t disagree more. It’s cool that you learn all the things like reading/writing/maths/physics/chemistry and some other stuff, even though you might end up not using some of it, but everything else about it was hell!!!
If I had to do it again/go back in time I’d make sure half of it went 6 feet under. Or at least beat up and cripple every single one who ever caused me trouble for life, and that’s a long list. Pretty much the same goes for college after that.

I’m doing pretty allright now, and it seems to be getting better as we go, but if school really is the best time of your life, I might as wel burn the entire fucking world, and I’m really kinda starting to like the world as it is now.

But if I ever have kids I’ll sure as hell make sure they learn to beat the shit out of anyone who so much as thinks of doing them wrong.

oow… and you never stop learning anyway, fortunately…

School starts for me on August 27th. I think that’s a Wednesday. Why would school start on a Wednesday? I’ll tell you why! It’s because school is just another way for the government to employ its dictatorial powers against its own “free” people, and one that they have been doing much more of lately. “No Child Left Behind.” Of course not. Instead of speeding those idiots up, they just slow everyone else down! They are literally keeping you in school to make you dumber, so you don’t realize all the f**ed up sht the government is trying to pull on you. So stick it to them. Higher education is pretty much the opposite. The government is making it harder and harder for you to go to college for the same reason that they’re making you go to high school. Find a way into college, and learn everything you can. Every diploma is a big middle finger to the U.S. government. I’ll be a highschool senior, by the way. Anarchy in the U.S.!!!

Edit: AHHH!

Im going to be a sophomore this year, yay! Not lol. I absolutely hate school, well mostly the work, and having to wake up at 5 to walk a mile to school because the stupid bus wont pick me up (but they did when i was in 8th, so…yea…) I can sort of relate to those people that have to wear uniforms, because my school has a jrotc program (airforce) and stupid me joined it (but i like it lol), and i have to wear the uniforms people in the airforce wear, which are sooo uncomfortable (im going to leave it at that so this wont become a rant lol), and i get the pleasure of getting yelled at (Yay lol).

Don’t you love sarcasm?

Couldnt agree more.

What time does your school starts?
1 Mile is anything but far for a walk

mine starts on a thursday  and I have to wake up at five so i can get ready :frowning:

You do know one thing, the first day of school may not mean work, but then you have to bake on the bus on the hottest week of Summer, at least here, nearly every year it would get up to 100 degrees around the first week of school.

Not this year, Intellicast is forecasting 7 consecutive days in the 70’s starting today, about 20 degrees cooler then what we usually see on the first school week.

AH HA! I knew global warming was a bunch of BS! lol

On another note. For me, about the most valuable thing I learned in my schooling was from my college classes that I took when I was a senior–they call them concurrent classes. I had a conversation with my instructor for my concurrent writing class about the success of students in school. The biggest thing I came up with in that talk was that; yeah, you most likely will not need or use things taught to you in K-12, which is why most students slack up in school because they are intelligent enough to realize that that knowledge will not lead them to success so they become bored and hate school. However, the one thing we all must take away from all of it is gathering the tools necessary to learn how to learn by yourself. That way, we become independent not dependent on another individual providing us with knowledge. I think, once a student on any level realizes this, their entire outlook will evolve.

Ok i leave at 6 but get up at 5. As for what time it starts, I don’t know, because they were talking about changing it.
1 mile is far when its about 100 degrees practically every day in the afternoon, and like 40 in the morning during winter.

yes i get what you mean. But really thats all i do is blender is make Low poly models for games…But ya i get what you mean…

school is gunna suck this year…i have the 2 bitchiest Teacher…one is Irish(i am Irish too so im not making fun of Irish people) and then one hasnt gotten laid in like 30years…so…=( that and my gym teacher is a child molester…well not really…but he stairs at us when we take showers :eek::frowning:
