SciFict animation (part1)

Here’s my first Blender’s 2.49b animation which took arround 30 hours of work.
Major focus on : Camera lens +lightning +environ texturing.
Well, I know that the walk cycle is not that good (specially elbows) and the pants is wrong… but still OK for a draft!

How do you feel about the ambiance ? What do you see next ?
Any comment is welcome…

Excellent work on the beginning, perfectly conveys the feeling of a security camera, the sounds helped with the feel a bit. And if one were to ignore imperfections on the human (keeping in mind that it IS a first draft), I’d say that’s pretty good stuff right there. You might want to try to redo the animation of the airlock/door in the end. I mean the opening sequence. I’d recommend making it shorter but more powerful - less delicate movements, more speed, size, and power. So that the viewer feels how barricaded and powerful the locks are.

May I suggest that for this to work, you need to stay with the high camera angle with lots of pincushion distortion- you drop this at about 50 seconds to more of a “you are there” camera. You could do that perhaps if you shifted down to first person and then looked up at the security camera, then back to the security camera looking down.

Wonderful work dear…things are happening in a little ‘too dark ambiance’ … that is what you need to work on. Unless you deliberately wanted to mask some details behind darkness, it’s alright. You generate lot of promises for your next work . . will wait for that.

Thanks for these comments
I will try to make it shorter and work on the camera effect again as the airlock part as you suggested.
Also, I wanted to include this dark ambiance in order to play with light types. Not to hide imperfections. At the beginning; the blues spot is a cold light and the yellow one is hot light. All others that came after with the alarm and green/blue ambiance are a balance between both.
I’ll post in this thread my future works…
