I spend some time on google to look for a software with which I could capture my screen and create a movie for video tutorials.
However I was not quite successful with what I found.
Anybody knows a decent program which also runs on Mac and Win?
Maybe an open source one?

Try camstudio. It’s free. However, I’m not sure about open-source.

I’ve looked for ages for an open source one for Mac, but never found one. There are some free ones, but they pretty much, well, suck in some way or another. I got so frustrated I started coding my own (that takes a lot of frustration ;)), but it never got too far (I lost interest :().
Most OS X ones that I’ve seen that aren’t horrible cost money, like iShowU.Here’s a list of some (none free, but some have trials).
I did see a Java one a while ago, you might check sourceforge. I don’t think it was too spectacular, but there might be some others around if you google for Java screen recorders (no telling whether they’re good or not).
