Screw Modifier not acting like a passive object.

So I’m trying to make an animation with a ball that rolls continuously around the screen. I’ve made two springs. One slightly smaller than the other to create a track effect for the ball. Well, whenever I make the two screws passive and hit play, the ball still goes right through both of the springs. Anyone got an idea? Help. lol.

My guess is the object with the screw modifier either doesn’t have collision enabled, or the collision modifier is not lower in the stack than the screw modifier, but it’s hard to tell without a blend file.
