Screwed up rotation widgets

Have any of you ever had your rotation widgets get unalligned with the bones? Notice in the image – the Y-axis rotation should be normal to the head bone, but clearly is not, the other rotation axis are screwed too. It was fine, then something happened (I don’t know what)

SOLVED. If you have bones that are hidden, the rotation widgets get screwed up (become an average of the hidden bones and the selected / viewable bones)
