Script to change camera during an animation

D/l here : http://cybercreator2.free.fr/Pythons/camera_changer.py
It’s made for be added to the directory of the 2.34’s scripts library.

Then you can launch it in blender by the script menu for objects.
Next, to use it, just name your cameras with the name of its changing frames.
For exemple a camera named “1,25” will become the default camera at frame 1 and 25. Another camera can be named “12” and will become default camera at frame 12, etc…

So I hope you understand my bad english and that this script can be usefull for some

I was needed your script badly and here you are…
And it works great.

One thing though, could you make the script accept the same camera become active more than once?
Otherwise one have to add more cameras to the same place, just for making them active in different times.

At any right it is a very usefull script that deserves to be Blender internal. There is, at elysium front page, a relative complicated tutorial how to change cameras and such…

I’m very disappointed nobody made a comment for your script.
Thank you, thank you very much!!!

There’s also this script for the very same thing, I guess: changing camera during an animation

You can name a camera “1,25,36” for exemple and this camera become active at frame 1 and at frame 25 and at frame 36.

Yes, in fact my script is just a variant of these scripts.
It has the same effect but user don’t have to do the same in order to use it :
my script is made for the 2.34’s .blender/script/ directory, use auto-link and the methode to assign camera is not the same.
Jms’s script is more usefull if you prefer keep the different changing frame in a list, which can be very interesting.
Mine if you prefer to use camera names and don’t have to load and link the script each time you need it.

I don’t take your script as model. But I use one I made in the time you made yours, after a question on the zoo-blender.
However, in this time you learnt me that the fonction setCurrentCamera() exists, and besides all I know in python comes in big part from your excellent website.
