Sculpt Mode Brush Color?

Can anyone tell me the significance of the brush icon (big circle) color when in sculpt mode? I’ve seen white, red, and green but can’t determine what’s changing the brush icon color…

You can set the colour of the specific brush in the ‘Appearance’ panel of the sculpt settings.

Thanks for the quick reply Richard - I know that the appearance can be changed, I guess I’m wondering if there’s any significance to the appearance of brushes changing on their own (sometimes I use grab and it’s white, sometimes green, sometimes red)

I guess its to help you quickly identify what brush you have selected, if each has a specific colour.
