Sculpt mode shading problem?

I tried sculpting with latest official release and somehow if I try to do that in “shaded” viewport mode it does not update shading correctly while sculpting, in “solid” view mode it works ok but is bit ugly…
While sculpting in shaded view if I go to the edit mode and back to the sculptmode shading is recalculated and correct… but not in realtime…
Is this normal?

Noticed the same thing. Tricky thing is that the z/ shift+z shortcut keys to cycle through display modes are now attributed to mirroring the z axis in sculpt mode.

One quick fix that I might recommend is adding a dark material to your object and turning its’ specularity up to 100%. If you’re in the habit of panning your view every now & then you’ll find that it greatly enhances your capacity to judge depth while sculpting.
