Sculpt Paint Tool without removing Viewport transparency (alpha)?

I’m trying to paint a block-out model of a coat to make sure the topology/edgeflow matches the body underneath.

To make this easy, I’ve set the alpha of my viewport display to 0.5 which offers some transparency to see underneath…

However, in Sculpt mode, the moment I “Paint” (NOT weight painting), the viewport transparency disappears and I can’t enable it again.

Is there a way to keep Viewport transparency while I Paint my model in Sculpt Mode?
