Could someone please explain how to use a procedural texture as a brush in sculpt mode? I have been messing with it but can’t understand it.:eek:
materials->textures->brush->add new
then in the sculpt tools you can choose ‘3d’ if you want seamless joy.
Ok, apparently this causes very weird behavior. When I try to paint using a custom brush, the whole model disappears while I try to sculpt on the model. Actually several times Blender just crashed. Anyone else experiencing this?
Hmm. What build/OS are you using?
I’m using 2.43RC1 on Windows XP. It happens when I use drag or tile mode, but 3D mode does work for me (which looks pretty nice). If I attempt drag or tile though as soon as I drag and move the mouse, the model disappears until I release the LMB.
That happens to me too, but technically this thread should be in the modelling subforum, or the basics and interface subforum.
How peculiar. I don’t have the problem, but I’ve built my own and I’m running linux (and it’s 2.42.3, whatever that actually means). Is it in the bugtracker, or the sculpt thread?
