I started this piece for some practice in ZBrush by just doodling. After a half hour I decided I’d make some renders of it.
Sculpted in ZBrush, BigMediumSmall clay shaders applied in Blender, and lit and rendered in Cycles.
I’ve been playing with some real flash strobes at work so I’ve been doing a lot of learning about light setups, so this is a play with a few “real world” type setups in the 3D space. Lighting is not something I really gave much thought to before in such a creative way, but man, it’s a hell of a lot of fun.
