Sculpting from sphere

First time trying to sculpt something in Blender (yes really :slight_smile:) , and I was quite pleased with the result, but I failed to realise that a sphere goes to an “infinite” point on top an bottom. Now I have real trouble trying to UV texture this.

Any good ideas on how to mend it?

If you wanted you could probably take a cube and subdivide it to a required amount and then shrinkwrap the subdivided cube to the sculpted mesh. But if it is going to be animated you could just do a quick retopology of it as it isn’t very detailed it wouldn’t take much time.
