Sculpting space Cruiser

Hello, This is a work in progress of designing a ship by sculpting a remeshed cube. There have been attempts by other artists to use blender to do hard surface sculpting. But, with the remesh modifier, this could make it possible to sculpt an entire spacecraft.

It looks like a pelican from halo.

It’s basically a generic space ship that is based on the pelican, but not supposed to be a pelican itself.

As shown by artists, Blender can be used for effective sculpting. With the remesh modifier, basemeshes can be easier to make. But there are a couple of problems.

Sometimes, the mesh would have a number of 2 4-edged vertices where on overlaps the other. When subdivided, this creates a pinching effect.

The other problem is that after remeshing, the edges of the mesh becomes jagged.

If Nicholas Bishop can replace the voxel remesh algorithm with the algorithm described in the PDF link below, then the remesh modifier would create the same output as the Zbrush’s dynamesh, making Blender as effective as a sculpting as Zbrush.
