Sculpting Texture Problem

ok so here is the problem. I have made a png Texture that I have imported for a brush on the right. but it will not appear on the left where my sculpting brush is. I have not been able to figure our why… Needless to say nothing will show up when I go to sculpt. What step am I missing?

i’m using 31097m 64bit on ubuntu, and it appears there to the left (once i start sculpting with the newly selected texture), what build are you using?
