Sculpting with ngons help

Hi - im having my mesh look “jaggie” when I use sculpting with a multires modifier to a simple mesh with a ngon that has about 43 verticies to the ngon face, im using simple not catmull-clark and 5 to 6 subdivisions. Im trying to use it for sculpting but for eg the F Brush does not look nice and clean but instead it has wavy lines and distortion in its place. Is it the ngon that blender does not “like”?

you always want to avoid ngons when you’re going to subdivide, their subdivisions (both from multires or subsurf modifiers) isn’t really nice.
