[EDIT 2] Okay, the pictures are now on an other webspace. I hope you can see them now.
Hey guys,
this is my new picture. I did it with the help of this COQ “How to make realistic water” tut. I think it looks very nice, especially the two spheres.
I made two versions. The first one is the pur rendering, the second was post-processed in Photoshop.
The times were:
Modelling : about 2 hours
Rendering : about 20 minutes
Post-Processing: 2 minutes :))
I think it still needs work, its a good start, but needs some tweaking. The color of the water is kind of off, I think you would do better if you added some green to it, and some transparency. Then go ahead and add some caustic effefts. You could work on the textures of your iceburgs…And do something with the sphere. Give it a displacement or something, it would make the image alot more interesting. You could make the sky a little more intersting. A sunset would be nice lol. Great start

OK, as soon I’ll come home, I’ll work at the render.
Do you know a page, where I can get good textures?
Im sure you could find what your looking for there. Like some “tutorials” on how to tweak the procedurals. That way everything would be you own and original, and not someone elses textures, lol.
bubles dont have that much refraction! everyone gets this wrong! the high refraction values are for planes like in water when a pencil is placed into it! my advice - lower the refraction angle!
