See Texture in-editor?

Hello, new here:), so I’m modeling a gun (or will be) and I was wondering how I can get a reference picture on a plane to appear in the editor.

It kinda takes the “reference” out of reference modeling.:smiley:

well you can add a background image through the properties panel by pressing “n” in the 3d viewport and scroll down and find the background images tool.

If you have mapped an image to a plane as a texture, then you can choose ‘textured’ from the window draw types for the 3d view and it should show up.

How do I bring up the draw types in the 3D view?

Press N for the Properties panel and then look in the Display settings
