Hi,
I have been using Blender for a while now. But every now and then I have this “see through” problem on image plane that setup with video/picture with transparent background. This happens always when the scene behind the image plane has bright lights. Example below … I have sparkles (lighted up) that need to be block out by the person in thisvideo with transparent background … but appears instead. What’s the best way to solve this problem …?? Is it about making the sparkles less bright (which I am avoiding mess up my scene in the background).
Has the person got some alpha over his body? Add a bright red plane behind him and see if its visible through his body. Or zoooooom in and have a look. Automated background removal systems often add alpha for some reason. Or the green tone in his body is removed when green screening.
Try setting the Alpha to Premultiplied in the mans Image Node. That is usually for haloing, but may help.
When using Chroma Key, there may be unseen alpha values.
Or is the flame of the person and the background too close
The image is not a blender, but it shows how to refine the chroma key image.
Thanks all,
The solution I found is using “Alpha Clip” in Blender Mode :).
Also the “image plane” node with Alpha set to premultiplied has improve the “image edge” problem somewhat. Thanks for chipping in …
