See values of outgoing node-sockets

Hi,

is there any possibility or an addon that shows the values of the outgoing sockets from a node.
I think for learning and monitoring different setups it would help users that are not so familiar with the node-editor (like me).

Thx …

Node socket outputs vary depending on the precise location of the point on the surface of the object that is being evaluated, so there is no set value to be displayed.
I know when I first met nodes I thought this was a needed feature too, but only a very few math type operations have an output that is a single value and in general such an evaluative node would serve no purpose.

the outputs from nodes are done for each rendered pixels
I mean this would represents a huge amount of data and difficult to deal with !

but I would like to get some limited info on the nodes output like min max
if only BW or vectors that might help to work with may be

this might be possible if you do some custom nodes with python scripting
but In any case it would probably need to do a render !
