seeing images

I loaded an image and do not see it.
yes I tried resizing etc. screen looks at 0,0,0

also

how do I see an image on a face while I am editing it?
it is a plane

change to orthographic view, not perspective, front/right/top…
Change your viewport shading to texture, or material. Just to the right where it says ‘object mode’ or ‘edit mode’

thanks but I have two wings. when I select texture, one disappears!
when I select rendered I get an image but in the wrong place!
