My friend challenged me to create a 3D model inspired by this quote, and I came up with two ideas. The first is a crossroad direction sign, and the second is a more traditional 3D typography design where the words ‘Living’ and ‘Dying’ are illuminated with lights that turn on and off. Both are still works in progress. I’d love to hear your feedback! Which concept do you think will turn out better?
IMO, the upper sign seems too fragile/thin.
I think the signs is a better concept. It’s kinda saying you have to make a conscious choice and effort to pick living. Whereas the other concept looks generic, as if you could replace it with any other quote.
I think the sign would need to look more grim or something. Right now, it only looks like it’s simply in the shade which doesn’t necessarily mean something is “bad”. Pretty flowers can be in the shade but not look grim, unless it was wilting away or something.
You could also add a character or scenery, maybe a fork in the road.
