Segment Display Blender Add-on

So I’ve been deep in this project for a while now. It’s called Segment Display, and it’s a Blender add-on that creates segment-style digital displays, the kind you see on dashboards, control panels, scoreboards, sci-fi interfaces. Fully procedural. Everything runs on Geometry Nodes, and you control it from a simple N-panel. No manual modeling involved.

Right now it handles 7-segment displays (numbers and limited letters) and 16-segment alphanumeric models that can show full text. You can punch in numbers, letters, set up a digital clock, a timer, a date readout, whatever. There are separators you can customize too, colons, dots, dashes. And for the look? I built in LED and LCD material presets that are fully procedural, so you can tweak the glow, color, shape of each segment without touching a shader node manually.

I built this because I kept running into the same problem in motion design projects. You need a counter, or a clock, or some techy UI readout in your scene, and your options are either modeling it by hand (tedious) or using a pre-made asset that you can’t really customize. This solves that. Drop it in, type what you want, style it, animate it. Done.

There’ll be two versions: SegDisp Lite is free and gives you the basics. SegDisp Pro is the full thing with everything unlocked. I’m in the final stretch of development right now, not available yet, but close.

I’ll be posting updates here as I get closer to launch. If you want to know when it drops, subscribe or check out the full breakdown at orionnovemberstudio.com.

Note: I tagged this post as “commercial” to highlight the priority of my announcement. But the SegDisp Lite version will be totally free.
