Hi,
Is there a “select the objects/members assigned to a layer” feature in blender much the same with Maya?
You can see an illustration of the feature here:

Thank you for looking at my problem

Layer equivalent is “collections” in Blender. Create a collection and place your objects in it. Then right click to collection (at outliner) and you’ll see similar options.

Thanks for the response. Sorry for I misled you, but I was thinking of the the layers in the bone system rather than the collection.

Allright, I’m not familiar with bone system. I’m sure someone will help you out on this, good luck!

Switch to the bone layer you want, select all? For me, shift-m-number, a in 3D viewport, edit or pose mode.

Thanks for the response. The problem with that method is that when I hit select all. it selects not only the bones but also other objects (mesh/light etc) in the scene

That’s weird, it doesn’t for me. Are you in pose mode on the armature?

Oh gotcha! In the pose mode. The joint modes somehow trips me up every time as we don’t have the same distinction in Maya or Cinema4D.
Anyhow, works as expected.
Have a great day ahead!
