Is there a way to select all vertices in the same border? Pressing L would get all linked ones, but I mean all the ones in the same row, if you get my point.
I think you mean edge-loop select. If you alt-right-click an edge, it should select the line of edges; alt-ctrl-right-click for face-loop select. It’s not always what you want though. I often find that if you hit b twice to get a circlular select tool, you can select verts much quicker by just dragging over them. alt-left-click in this mode deselects verts. Escape or right-click leaves that mode.
Alt+RMB. It’s a little tricky the first time. And to be more specific, while RMBing, drag in the direction of the loop for a smidge.

You click on the edge in the direction of the loop - not a vertex.
No need for dragging.

Wow, thanks for the great tip, I really appreciate this. Doing this instead of selecting them all manually will improve my modeling speed by I don’t know how much.
