Selecting inner faces of a solidified hose

Hello,

i have modeled some bunch of hoses with bezier curves, solidified them, and then applied some subdivision surface to them.
The point is, that i need to select all inner polys of the hoses to create seperate meshes that would represent some red fluid flowing inside of the tubes.
The problem is that those are a lot of polygons.
Is there a method to select only the inner surfaces of the (solidified) mesh more quickly?

You can try selecting one face inside the hose and then Shift + G -> Select ‘Area’ and it may select all the inner faces of the hose… Otherwise play around with the other options.

Yes, select the both rings of the hose and press h to hide that mesh, make sure you’re in face select mode. Then select one inner poly of the hose and press Ctrl+L to select everything linked, now you just have copy the selection with Shift+D and press P to separate it.

thank you a lot!!
Does somebody maybe also know why my blend.file is a little weird when i try to open a image texture?
It always crashes when i do that.
It only happens with that particular blend file.
