Selecting multiple objects

Hi,

Could someone explain to me strange behavior while selecting multiple objects in v.2.75:

  • selected first object - it turns orange /default Blender theme/ - OK
  • SHIFT added next object - first object turns dark orange but no highlight on the next object(s) … - NOT OK

Anybody could advice whats happening?

I will but before that -when try to JOIN both- (potentially selected) an error message appears:
‘Active object is not a selected mesh’

Additional question: when strechting Selection Window w/ LMB(changed from default RMB) do I need to Alt+RMB to finish Window Selection command? Simple clicking LMB does not produce anything…
