Selecting other objects while in pose mode

Somehow i must turned something off that prevents me from selecting objects outside the rig while in pose mode. I’m using Motion Trail 3D addon and i need to grab and move these empties while in pose mode. It worked the whole time just fine, but then i must pressed something to disable it. Now everytime i want to change the motion trail i have to get out of pose mode adjust the trail and go back to pose mode, which is pretty tedious and it’s slowly but surely driving me insane. If anyone have any idea what i’ve deactivated please or how to put it back on please let me know.

Try toggling “Lock Object Modes” on Edit of main menu bar.

Tried it. Unfortunately that wasn’t it.

Try this.

Lock object mode off.
Select empties and then armature in object mode. Toggle to pose mode. Should be able to select empty.

Good idea, but even that doesn’t work. :disappointed_relieved:

works for me. can you post a blend and let me look at it?

Yes please. Try to select the empty next to the rig while in pose mode. Thanks for taking the time.
I had to pack it due to size, hope you have winrar or zip to unpack it. selectionProblem1.rar (400.6 KB)

OK I think this is the issue with old rigs not working in newest Blender. I don’t think they ever will. What I did is open a new file in new Blender, append as object your rig and empty and it works. Or, at least you can select the empty and it changes to object mode. Don’t know if that will help or not. I do know that they changed the C program in the new version and I suspect this is one of the breaks. Do you know if they updated the add on?

Hey maybe you can help me. I can’t render transparency in linked asset using EEVEE. I posted it on the render section and have not got anyone that can figure it out.

Define old blender  Can’t say for sure which exact version i’ve used but it was definetely 2.8 or above. I’ll give it a try. Thanks for lookin into it.

Not that i know of. I think the latest update was a year ago when they added a over complicated ability to create your own rigging modules that no one really uses.
