Selection stat displays?// Addon that displays stats and selection #s?

When I started w/Blender there was a native display in the lower right status line that showed the # of points/lines/faces and the selected #s of same. Handy, but imo badly formatted and hard to read in a hurry.

That seems to have disappeared over the versions-- did it? Or is it just some buried toggle in Preferences?

That’s mostly idle curiosity because I had supplemented it w/an addon that displayed the same info in a better formatt and more flexibility, right in the viewport. But I can’t seem to locate that addon (I thought it was native/included, and maybe had the string ‘stats’ in its title). Anyone know what it is?

Also, I just discovered that if you right click on the bottom, you will get an option to toggle that display.

where do you see it in 2.9 ?

I don’t know if this is for me but you have to right click on the bottom header to get the option.

i tried on top and bottom header and did not see the option
