Selective Force Influence

Fairly basic question, really.
How do I get a wind force to affect one particle system while not affecting the another one in the same scene?
Specifically, I’d like to have static hair on a character with particles blowing past

Not on the force itself, but you can control which forces effect your hair particles:

also, you can use a collection to control which forces effect which particle systems:

If you don’t specify a collection, it will be effected by all forces in the scene.

I thought having the particle systems and they’re correlated force fields in different collections will prevent an interference. So particle system 1 and force field on in collection 1 and the same for 2

(I do find it odd that if Hair Dynamics isn’t enabled, the forces still affect hair systems, but this still appears to work)
