Selective Shadeless?

Sorry for the useless thread title XD

I’m wondering if there’s any way to have a texture that is shadeless in that even with no light it would render at the image’s original brightness, but at the same time I need it to receive shadows from other objects.

Put another way, I don’t want this material to be shaded according to how much light hits it, but rather by whether any light can reach it. Does this make sense?
