selling models

I was just looking at the site mentioned in the News n Chat forum (it has a Blender advert), and took a browse through the models for sale.

Am I missing something, or are they really asking $18 for this?

I guess it depends on how photorealistic it is. Does it use nurbs?

…reminds me of the story about the sphere that was sold on Ebay a few years ago for Maya users. I think it went for 10 usd.

By my reckoning that comes to about 3 cents per polygon… now how do you count the number of polygons in a model, I want to work out how much mine are worth by that crazy price scheme ! :stuck_out_tongue:

$18 does seem a bit steep for what is basically a beveled cylinder. :stuck_out_tongue:

heh… thats pretty ridiculous… i dont think i would even download that for free… that is literally something id need to be paid for before i download it… its not that its bad, its just, thats its nothing, at all =P
