Semi-procedural Burger WIP

Rendered at 4000 samples 4k using Cycles (downsized to fit into BA size limit)

Viewport vs Raw render

The aim for this project was to combine geometry and shader nodes in order to create best result I could, while closly following reference material. Every material is fully procedural and geometry is either modeled or semi procedural.
Some example screenshots of procedural geometry/materials

This specific burger render was recuring theme of mine, as it was one of my first projects few years back. For me food rendering was always quite hard but there is some progress in comparison to my past renders. Still a lot to improve

Attaching old renders as well

When I saw that node setup… good God, I know it gradually gets that way but still looks daunting as hell.
Amazing result, btw. Genuinely can’t see how more realism can be achieved from here.

to be fair node setup is way more chaotic than it has to be

I really love the bokeh, glare, lens dirt, whatever it is. It just adds so much.

Well, you did an amazing job there. You really improved the details and this adds up to a great result. The fries pass as photo now as well as the lettuce leaf.
Also love this ever so slightly dirty look - that makes it real.
