Semitransparent mesh

I have modelled a wall with one mesh being a stained glass window. I have a really good texturemap for it, but I would like my stained glass to be semitransparent and lit from behind with a lamp, so it glows.

How can I do this?


F5 just set alpha to less than 1 AND THEN SET ZTRANP
render and it will be trnasparent


Dont forget to apply what RickyBlender writes to the specific vertex group you need your transparency on… :wink:

show up the mesh for this

and be carefull here you cannot assign transp to vertex group only to mat index
