Separate/Split UVs

Hi, how can I separate or split UVs like I would for faces (with Y or P)? I currently have a workaround with selecting and moving faces in UV/Mesh Sync, but it woks poorly.

If you switch the UV vertex selection to ‘Disable’ (as opposed to ‘Shared Vertex’ or ‘Shared Location’) you’ll be able to move vertices around independent of each other. But switch it back when you’re done separating them, because in Disable mode, the editor ignores all vertex welds.

Are you simply wanting to do “Ctrl+E --> Mark Seam” ? (In other words, is this for UV mapping?)
