Hi Everyone,
I’m coming from the world of Maya, and I was wondering if anyone could point me to a good tutorial that explains how to do set driven keys (Drivers in Blender terms, I believe)?
Also, can anyone point out some medium to advanced rigging tutorials. I’ve seen a lot of entry level rigging tutorials (armature construction, binding), but not many (or any) advanced ones for Blender, going into things like set driven keys, corrective shape keys, control curves etc.
if I may add a question. In Maya the workflow for setting up such a relation is similar to setting up an animation. You choose your object that you want to be the driver and the object that should be driven. Then change the values for both objects, hit “set key” or something and do that again. So basically you create an animation curve thats not changing the value of an attribute (or “property” in blender terms) over the frames but over the values of another object.
In Blender it’s working the same way but the workflow is different. I mean i can’t (or at least i don’t know how to) create an animation curve by hand. Instead i have to use the curve modifier “Generator” to generate an animation curve. For me, also coming from maya, this is very unintuitive. Imo it would be nice if one could be able to just hit the i-key in the driver editor but thats not working for me. I think i saw a video once where someone did something similar but i could be wrong.
Any idea anyone?
