Set parent to vertices without scale modification

Hi ! There’s my problem : I used a plane as a parent (triangle of vertices) of my boat. This plane has a shrinkwrap modifier to move with the waves under to give a floating aspect to the boat.
But this process change the scale of my boat as you can see under :

And this is the look is supposed to have :

I tried to use some constraints like limit scale but I don’t find any solutions.
Any ideas ?

EDIT : The plane used as the parent object doesn’t seem to have any scale changes

If I had to guess, I’d say that is skew from unapplied rotation/scale. Unparent the ship and plane; apply rotation and scale to both (and to any parent of the plane); reparent.
