Your code is still definitely there, ChatGPT just substituted the need to define a specific material name.
I cleaned up all the extra bits explaining what each line does so it looks much cleaner…as you can see your code is still there. How much of the extra code from ChatGPT is necessary, not sure…but super happy it works, as like I said it’s been a challenge to get something working.
I did notice that “type or paste code here” is in the code…that’s my bad, it was the first time I used “preformatted text” this icon in the tool bar </> to add code and missed it.
The main thing is it works, maybe as I get better at python things will make more sense.
I’ve spent most of the afternoon trying to put a script together to reset Geometry Node groups and failed miserably 
this python stuff is hard
