I’m trying something I never did in blender, setting an object to a specific size in meters. I have a ship made of a bazilling parts I want to scale them all so the total length is a certain number of meters. Any tips?
Right underneath the transform and scale setting in the property shelf is a dimension setting.
You can also change the blender unit settings to display metric units, which helps when creating objects in cm sizes.

Also, just because you may be in metric, doesn’t mean you can’t enter imperial in the dimensions fields.
So if you enter 2", it converts from 2 inches to millimeters, 2’ from feet to meters, very useful.
Don’t forget to apply your scale if you alter the dimensions this way so bevels et al in edit mode behave correctly.
