How can I set the parameters for Transform/Align so that the selected choices for my align are now the defaults. Saving Users preferences doesn’t do it. When a Blender object is saved after making the selections, when reopened they are back to the factory defaults. The align choices stay as I set them as long as the file I’m working on is open. Knowing Blender, it’s probably configurable in the User preferences panel, and I just can’t find it. Is an application template required?
you could save the preconfigured objects as assets
If you don’t want your blend to revert its UI selection choices, you can have Blender import and assign those selection choices on blend load.
You can also save your a blend with the desired Transform/Align parameters and set it as your default, startup blend.
