I have cycles working, but it doesn’t give the option to choose between CPU and GPU function, as the windows version did. It works at about the same speed as the CPU did on windows, so I’m going to assume that it’s not taking advantage of my graphics card.
I’m running Ubuntu 11.04. I’ve updated to the current graphics driver. I’ve installed the nVidia cuda toolkit. I copied the libOpenImageIO.so file from the cycles folder to the /usr/lib folder. I have burned the hearts of my neighbors in front of my computer.
Nothing worked.
Not to say it isn’t working, just takes a bit longer than it did with the graphics card.
