"Shadeless" Material in cycles is not working.

So I’ve been trying to get this scene to work for quite a while, and I just cannot figure it out.
The goal is to have the green boxes only be affected by the small box emitters like this scene: [1] http://i.imgur.com/pFo6e.png

The issue is that the texture is also affecting the boxes, which I do not want. I’ve tried following a tutorial on creating a shadeless material, but it does not work.: [2] http://i.imgur.com/tRV3I.png

Note: Mixing with the internal isn’t an option since the pictures will be overlapping.

Edit: After 2 hours of messing with materials I figured it out. Simply un-checking the ‘Sample as lamp’ on the material solved the issue. Facepalm I need some beer.
