Shading smooth glitched?

So I’m following a tutorial from CGMasters and i followed the exact same steps and yet i get this kind of shading and I can’t figure out why and is really frustrating!

It’s probably your mesh topology, even your modifers are in the wrong order.
I don’t know which tutorial you are talking about but i would probably do that shape like this:

Actually i just redid it, with good topology the bevel modifier does the support loops good enough.

seems like it was the order of the modifier. I didn’t think it through cause it worked for him… that’s really weird. Thanks
